Thayer-Rock Funeral Home was established in 1933 by Howard W. Thayer, a lifetime Farmington resident who conducted services from a building on Grand River Avenue in downtown Farmington until 1961. The funeral home has remained family-owned and independently operated for over 89 years.
The facility is barrier-free and handicapped accessible, all on one floor, with space to accommodate up to four family visitations simultaneously. A spacious lounge on the main level is available for families who wish to provide refreshments during visiting hours.
The funeral directors include Leonard A. Turowski Jr., Todd N. Turowski, Marilyn Rauh, and Paul Potti. The funeral home serves families of all faiths and traditions throughout Farmington and neighboring communities in Oakland County.
