The building housing Tomlinson Funeral Home was constructed in the 1920s as the First Bank of Cornwells Heights and was converted to a funeral home in 1933 by Harold Heffner. J. Maurice and Florence Tomlinson purchased the property in 1945 and opened it the following year as J. Maurice Tomlinson Funeral Home. Their son Robert "Tommy" Tomlinson took over operations in 1975 and ran the business with his wife Nancy for over five decades.
In 2024, Ryan Brady—who began working at the funeral home at age 15 and served for nearly 20 years—was entrusted by Tommy Tomlinson to continue the business. The funeral home remains independently owned and operated, serving families throughout Bensalem, Bucks County, and Philadelphia. Services include traditional funerals, memorial services, burial, and cremation.
