About Smith Funeral Home
Smith Funeral Chapel has served Eau Claire families since 1956, when it was founded by William and Agnes Smith. The business remains in its third generation of family ownership and became the first funeral home in Eau Claire County to operate an on-site crematory, installed in 1982.
The chapel's renovated facility seats over 200 guests and includes a grand piano, a large video screen for photo tributes, a fireplace in the main gathering room, a separate meeting room, and a reception area overlooking Hastings Way. Four accessible restrooms are available on site.
Services include traditional funerals, cremation, memorial and graveside services, green burial options, and immediate-need support, with planning resources available for families from Eau Claire, Altoona, Chippewa Falls, and surrounding Chippewa and Eau Claire County communities.
