Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home was established in 1919 and has remained family owned for over a century. The Debnam family has owned and operated the funeral home for more than 25 years, with Christopher W. Debnam, Ann Debnam, and Jennifer Debnam Augi serving as licensed funeral directors and owners following the passing of Haywood Debnam, who owned the business for 40 years until 2019.

The funeral home maintains three chapel locations serving Pender and Duplin counties: the flagship chapel in Burgaw, the Norwood Street Chapel in Wallace managed by licensed funeral director Diane Blanton, and the Bradley Creek Chapel in Wilmington managed by Vinnie Spinelli. The business operates its own on-site crematory and owns three cemeteries: Riverview Memorial Park, Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, and Duplin Memorial Gardens, with Alease Bridgers managing cemetery operations.

Quinn-McGowen is a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, a professional organization of independent funeral service providers.
