About Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Jones-Preston Funeral Home traces its roots to John A. Jones, who entered the undertaking business in Paintsville in 1921 and opened The Jones Funeral Home on Main Street in 1940. His wife Lexie and son Edwin "Pinky" Jones joined the business in its early years, extending the family's involvement in funeral service in the Big Sandy area for more than 75 years.
The funeral home serves Paintsville and surrounding Johnson County communities, including Inez and Martin, with both traditional funeral and cremation services. Cremation options include traditional services followed by cremation, memorial services held in the chapel, a church, or a family-chosen venue, and choices for final disposition such as urn storage, scattering, or columbarium interment.
Families can also sign up for a year of weekly grief support messages through the funeral home's website.
