About Phelps & Son Funeral Home
Phelps & Son Funeral Home has been owned and operated by the Phelps family since 1996, when Bill and Jenny Phelps first opened their original location in Inez, Kentucky to serve Martin County and nearby West Virginia families. A second location followed in Hager Hill in 2000 to serve Johnson County, and the family expanded into Paintsville in October 2018 with a newly built facility on Euclid Avenue. The business is now run by a second generation, Billy and Beth Phelps, alongside Bill and Jenny.
The Paintsville facility is fully handicap accessible with no stairs, and includes a full kitchen and fellowship hall for family gatherings after services. Chapel and viewing rooms are built to accommodate larger services, with an upgraded sound system and on-site parking for more than 100 vehicles.
Phelps & Son Funeral Home serves families throughout Johnson County, including Paintsville, as well as neighboring Martin County communities such as Inez.
