Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory traces its roots to the late 1800s, when Lawrence Wellington Hoover purchased a funeral business in Berrysburg in Upper Dauphin County. The Hoover family established a presence in Hershey in 1950 and in Linglestown in 1971, and the business is now run by fifth-generation directors S. Keith Hoover, Jr. and Gregory W. Hoover.
Both locations were rebuilt or modernized in 1990 to accommodate growth, reflecting decades of continuous family ownership through several generations of Hoover funeral directors. The firm serves Harrisburg and surrounding Dauphin County communities, including Hershey, Linglestown, Camp Hill, and Enola.
The funeral home offers on-site cremation services along with traditional burial planning and pre-need arrangements for families throughout the Harrisburg area.
