Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home was established in 1940 by Cliffeious Brock in Clinton and has operated continuously for over eight decades. Harold and Marzella Worley, along with Lessie Sampson, purchased the business in 1972, with the Worleys becoming sole owners in 1984. The funeral home relocated to its current Lisbon Street facility in 1979 to accommodate growth.
The business officially changed its name to Worley Funeral Home, Inc. in July 2015, though it continues to be widely recognized by its original Brock Memorial designation. As an African-American family-owned firm, it has served families across Sampson, Duplin, and surrounding counties for multiple generations. The funeral home offers limousine service, chapel services, and veterans burial services.
