About Brickner Funeral Home
Brickner Funeral Home was founded in 1888 by B.L. Vore on Main Street in Van Wert and moved to its current location in 1932. The business has remained family owned and operated through multiple generations, with James and Charles Brickner currently managing day-to-day operations and meeting with families for at-need and pre-need arrangements after receiving their funeral director licenses in 1967 and 1968 respectively.
The funeral home offers Thumbies memorial jewelry, which creates personalized fingerprint keepsakes and custom jewelry crafted from fingerprints of loved ones or pets. Monument sales and cemetery inscriptions are available, and families can have fingerprints taken at no charge for future keepsake purposes.
