William Montgomery

William “Bill” Erskine Montgomery, 76, of Rock Hill passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Bill was a son of the late Roy B. Montgomery and Mary Rebecca Mull Montgomery. He was retired from Bowater, a veteran of the US Air Force, and a member of Kings Mountain Chapel UMC.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Taylor Montgomery, son Billy Montgomery (Pamela) of Rock Hill, daughter Kelly Montgomery (fiancee Peter Lamb) of Raleigh, NC, brothers, Wayne Montgomery (Joyce) of Clover, Eddie Montgomery (Carol) of Lake Wylie, sister Peggy Bryant (Guy) of Clover, two grandchildren, Taylor Montgomery and Brooke Montgomery, and sister in law Lena Taylor of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law, Juanita and Terry Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, 1130 Philbeck Road, York, SC 29745.
