YORK – William “Bill” L. Boyd, 89, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home in York.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom McPhail officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 2 – 3 PM on Tuesday, August 29.
Bill was a son of the late James Edward Boyd and Zula Walser Boyd. He was a graduate of Clemson University, a veteran of the United States Army, and a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in York.
Bill is survived by his children, William “Bill” Boyd (Robyn), Lee Boyd Jordan, Ben Boyd (Kim), all of York, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Harriette Lowry Boyd, infant daughter Callie Ann Boyd, and brother James H. Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 10 West Liberty Street, York, SC 29745.
