Wesley Willard McMahan, 79, of York, SC passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 peacefully at his home and surrounded by his loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church in York, SC. A 2:00 PM funeral service will follow the next day, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor William Lingerfelt officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Wesley was born on May 6, 1942 in York, SC. He was the son of the late Willard Sanders McMahan and Naomi Ruth Rutledge McMahan Melton. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US ARMY having served during the Korean War.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Hazel Robbins McMahan, his children and their spouses: Michael Wesley McMahan (Libby), Teresa McMahan Mason (Jerry), Tammy McMahan Redmond (George), Annette McMahan Maltos (Mario), and Samuel Willard McMahan (Rose); ten grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his sister, Rachel M Pitts and brother, James McMahan.
