WB Harris
YORK -- WB Harris, 94, died Thursday, August 06, 2015, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. He was born on January 1,1921 in York, SC. He was the son of the late Claude Harris and Hester Pressley Harris.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Mary A. Harris, who resides at the White Oak Manor of Lancaster, SC. He has two sons, Larry R. Harris and his wife Frances, and Robert (Bob) J. Harris and his wife Connie of Fort Mill, SC. He has three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He has one surviving sister Nancy Antanson of Big Fork, Minnesota.
Mr. Harris served his country in the United States Army during World War II. WB was a piano tuner for Marshall Furniture Co. for many years. WB loved his family and his church Central Baptist Church of York, SC.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 with Pastor Carey Caldwell officiating at Bratton Funeral Home with visitation following.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Central Baptist Church, 110 Ross Cannon St., York, SC 29745, or Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
