Virginia Jones YORK Virginia Mae Prather Jones, 83, fromerly of York died Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her daughters home in Ladson, SC. The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy. Rev. Ted A Tinker and Rev. Olivene Martin will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Virginia was a daughter of the late Rev. Roy Prather and Lucy Mae Meadows Prather. She was the widow of Ray Adkins and William C. Jones. She was a sales clerk at a variety of stores, and was a member of 35 years of Sancuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by son John Thomas Adkins of Bridgeton, NJ, two daughters, Linda Carroll Gunter of Ladson, SC, and Crystal Lynn Dover of Clover, SC, brother, James Prather of Lanark, WV, six grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
