Remembering Vincent

A Celebration of Life graveside service for Mr. Vincent Jeroid Jones will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 1: 00 P. M. in the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church Cemetery, 2424 Hwy 441 N. Irwinton, Georgia. The Rev. Carlos Jones will officiate and the interment will follow. Mr. Vincent Jeroid Jones, of Dublin, Georgia was born on October 2, 1975 to the parentage of Mrs. Naomi Smith Jones and the late Mr. Lamar Jones in Dublin, Georgia. He was educated in the Laurens County School System and the Sumter County School System where he graduated from Americus High School, Americus, Georgia in 1994. He attended the Fort Valley State University and Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Vince was employed by the Huddle House. He was a member of the Living Hope Word Church, East Dublin, Georgia. Vincent passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia. In addition to his father, Vincent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katie and Mark Smith, Sr., and Cordy and Annie Pearl Jones; stepfather, Jimmie Perry; and uncle, Willie Jones. Vince will be dearly missed by his mother, Mrs. Naomi Perry of Dublin; fiancé, Teri Nicole Poole of Dublin; children, Ryan Walton of Smithville, GA; LaAzia Jones of Albany, GA; and Tresnan and Jayceon Jones of Dublin, GA; grandson, King Jones of Albany, Georgia; brothers, Gregory (Monique) Jones, Steven Jones and Frederick Jones, all of Dublin; nieces and nephews, Shalonda, Cassandra, Tamika, Gregory Jr., Alex, Gabby, Stevontae, Verleria, Jayvone, and also great nieces and nephews. Vincent is survived by his aunts and uncles, Havie and Emma Smith, Toscanell Smith, Betty and Rev. Robert Hall, Dr. Robbie and Frank Latimore, Sarah and Jimmy Edwards, Mark and Thelia Smith, Oscar Jones, Nellie Cherry, and Annette Moore, all of Dublin; James and Lorraine Smith of Macon; and Carlton and Neldrid Jones of Rocky Mount, NC. He is also survived by a host of devoted cousins, other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19, social distance and the wearing of masks (face coverings) will be observed.
