Remembering Thomas (Tommy)
A Home-Going Grave-Side Service for Mr. Tommy Lee Johnson will be held
Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 A. M. in the Westview Cemetery in
Wrightsville, Ga. The Rev. Norman Roberts will officiate and the interment will follow.
Mr. Tommy Lee Johnson, known affectionately as “Shine” was born on
February 17th, 1951 in Johnson County, Georgia to the union of the late
Mr. Tommy Lee Wright and the late Carrie Bell Johnson. He joined the
Buckeye Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was united in holy
matrimony to the former Ms. Bernistine Dudley and to this union nine
children were born. Mr. Wright was a loving man, a great carpenter and
painter. He departed this life July 31, 2020 in the Wrightsville Manor
Rehabilitation Center.
Left to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, wife, Bernistine Dudley
Johnson, children, Sylvia (Larry) Taylor, Lisa Johnson, Rena Johnson, Jasmine
Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Tony Johnson, Phillip (Keyellow) Johnson, Kelly
(Sandricka) Johnson, and Antonio Johnson, five sisters; Katie Wright, Brenda Wright,
Mary Wright, Ruby Johnson (Steve) and Louise Warthen, twenty-five grand-
children,12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
other family and friends.
