Thena B. Clements

Funeral services for Mrs. Thena B. Clements will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2418 Hwy 441 S. Dublin, GA at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Milton Hughes will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Clements passed away January 5, 2018. She was born June 15, 1927, to the late Everlie & R.T. White. She was educated in the Washington County school system, and later moved to Dublin, Ga. where she was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Green Grove Baptist Church until her health declined. She later met and married Willie D. Bell. To this union nine children was born—Thelma (Zebbie) Ashley, Virginia (the late Grady) Hodges, Shirley Bell, Janice (the late Eugene) Stuckey, Willie L. Bell, Melvin (Delois) Bell, Jeffrey Bell—all of Dublin, Ga; Regina (Robert) Pepin, Brunswick, Ga, and she was preceded in death by one daughter, Janita Bell. After the death of her first husband, she met and married Allie Clements. To this union two children was born—Rikita (Michael) Houvell, and Vanessa Clements—all of Dublin. She is survived by three sisters, Louise (the late Jimmy Lee) White of Newark, New Jersey—Edith White, and Mattie M. Johnson—all of Sandersville, Ga. She is survived by four step-children, Mary Bass and Olentris Clements of Atlanta, Ga.; Aron Clements and Fredrick Clements of Lumber City, Ga.—two God children, Ronnie Knight of Miami, Fla, and Jacqueline Hicks of Atlanta, Ga. She has thirty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of her daughters.
