YORK -- Shirley McKinney Childress, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 – 2 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Shirley was a daughter of the late Virgil McKinney and Maudie Shrewsbury McKinney. She was the widow of John Ralph Childress.
She is survived by daughter, Deborah Gutierrez (Ron), two sons, Wade Childress, Clint Childress (Pat), three sisters, Maryle Williams, Oreda Clendenin, Garnett Kalweit, four grandchildren, Christy Premo (Chad), Ronnie Gutierrez (Lisa), Michael Gutierrez (Nikki) and Brent Childress. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Elwood McKinney, Lora Atwood, Arlene Bailey, Eunice Burnette, Len McKinney, and Russ McKinney.
