Shawn Lynn Thomasson, 54, of 812 Daves Road, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Johnny King and Freddie Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York, and other times at the home.
Shawn was a son of Patricia King Thomasson and the late H.G. Thomasson. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a Sergeant with the York County Sheriff’s Office. Shawn was also a member and past master of Philanthropic Masonic Lodge #32, a Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rites.
He is survived by his wife Penny Christenbury Thomasson, daughter Nicole Thomasson, son Jamie Thomasson, grandchildren, Liam Childers, Sarah-Kathryn Childers, Alex Thomasson, mother Patricia King Thomasson, and brothers, Gregg Thomasson (Mary) and Walter Thomasson (Danielle).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29601.
