Obituary Notice Sara Gettys YORK Sara Morrison Gettys, 92, of 305 Simrill Ave died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, surrounded by family at her home in York. The funeral will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Filbert Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Wallace Tinsley and Dave Hall officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 5 - 7 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York. Sara was the daughter of the late Frank Price and Rossie Mullis Morrison. She was the widow of Guy Raymond Gettys and was a member of Filbert Presbyterian Church, where she served for many years as the organist and pianist. Sara worked for Western Union Telegraph Company as a manager and Morse Code operator, and later in bookkeeping and banking. She is survived by daughter Elyn Sue Ayers (Paul) of Fernandina Beach, FL, son Donald Raymond Gettys of York, daughter Sara "Sally" Morrison Gettys of York. Grandchildren, Paula "Zan" Suzanne Richhart (Brian), Benjamin Gettys Ayers, Melissa Brooke “Missy” Gettys, Lauren Michelle Walden. Great grandchildren, Kalie Suzanne Day, Brianna Alissa Richhart, Liam Isaiah Ayers, Dustin Matthew Sampers, and Baylee Walden.
