YORK – Sara Beth Adams McDowell, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at First Baptist Church York with Rev. Chris Lyles officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26 from 1 – 2 PM at First Baptist Church in York.
Mrs. McDowell was the daughter of the late Edward Leroy Adams and Ollie Smart Adams, and was the widow of Floyd Dewey McDowell, Jr. She was retired from the Celanese Corp. and was a member of First Baptist Church in York, SC.
She is survived by her daughters Debbie Sealy (Steve) and Patty Ledford both of York, brother, Tom Adams, sister, Linda Adams Lowman, grandchildren, Mack Ledford, Laura Dunlap, Adam Sealy, and Emily Lingerfelt, and 5 great grandchildren. In addition, to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by brothers, Mack and Knox Adams.
