RV Gene Brooks, 68, of Clover, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Midway Baptist Church, 12984 State Hwy 55 York, SC, with Christopher Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends in the church’s foyer from 1-2:00 PM before the service.
RV was born on February 13, 1953 in Gaston County, NC. He was the son of the late Walter Eugene Brooks and Annie Mae Messer Brooks. He worked most of his life as a truck driver, his later years at Sonoco Recycling in Gastonia, NC.
RV is survived by his wife, Lori Siebert Brooks, son, Bill Brooks (Rosie), granddaughters, Grace and Kate Brooks, brother, David Brooks (Evelyn), niece, Amanda Brooks, nephew, Christopher Brooks, great nephew, Jace Bajenski, brother-in-law, James Siebert (Debbie), and sister-in-law, Bonnie Ordiway (Jeffrey).
In addition to his parents, RV was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Messer and Gladys Louree Brooks.
