Ruby Shillinglaw YORK Ruby Ilene Howe Shillinglaw, 79, of York died Sunday, April 8, 2012. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Tirzah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road. Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Ruby was a daughter of the late Marion Wade and Inell Smith Howe. She was a member of Tirzah Presbyterian Church, was a homemaker and foster mother. Ruby fostered 85 children over 19 years. She is survived by her husband Luther Shillinglaw, Jr. of York, SC, two sons, Steve Shillinglaw (Robin) of Clover, SC and Dan Shillinglaw (Barbara) of York, SC, two daughters, Gail Brantley (Randy) and Sheila Jackson (Steve) both of York, SC, sister, Carolyn Funderburk (Fred) of Rock Hill, SC, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Louise Shillinglaw, sister, Mary H. Snipes and brother, George Marion Howe.
