SMYRNA – Ruby Victoria Bolin Martin, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 31, 2012. The funeral service to celebrate her life and homecoming will be held at 3 PM on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Broad River Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Wingate, Rick Fuller and Charles Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 6 – 8 PM at Broad River Baptist Church. A native of Smyrna, SC she will be received in heaven by her husband Lloyd Martin. Also with them her parents, the late Jack and Estelle Bolin, brother Clifford Bolin, sisters, Bertie Phillips, Jeanette Belue, Dot Martin, daughter in laws Betty Martin, Margaret Martin, and son in law Chalmers Revels. The children who rise up and call her blessed are W. Howard Martin of Wellford, SC, Daniel Martin of Asheville, NC, Virginia Martin Revels of Smyrna, Cordell Martin and wife Helen of Smyrna, along with 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Bobbie Lois Perry of Gaffney. She was a charter member of Broad River Baptist Church, Smyrna, a retired seamstress from Oxford in Hickory Grove, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of spending time with her family and sitting on her front porch.
