Obituary Notice Bob White SHARON Mr. Robert Gardner White (Bob), 80, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Sharon, SC with the Revs. Barry Lambert and James Gable officiating. Bob was born in Sharon. He was a son of the late James McElwee White and Margaret Malinda Hope White and was a lifetime resident of Sharon. He retired from Westinghouse in 1994 and was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church. Bob served many years as a volunteer at White Oak Manor in York, SC where he was known as “Bingo Bob.” Bob was also a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award in recognition of his volunteer service with the Lion’s Club. Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Mary T. White of the home a daughter, Pam Wade and husband Gary of Rock Hill, SC a son, David White and wife, Leesa of Sharon, SC five grandchildren, Daniel Wade and wife, Amber, Regina and Will Wade, all of Rock Hill, SC., Robert and Jessie White of Sharon, SC a sister, Isabelle White Moore of Charlotte, NC two brothers, Paul White and Lyndel White of Sharon, SC. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas Scott White his parents, James McElwee White and Margaret Malinda Hope White sisters, Lois Hope White Weller and Margaret G.
