Robert Jackson SMYRNA Robert Wayne Jackson, 61, of 2763 Legion Road died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Chester Regional Hospital in Chester. The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg with the Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home. Robert was a son of the late Blease and Nell Green Jackson. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg, and worked for Falls Electrical. He was also a member of the York County Zoning and Appeals Board and was a District 2 umpire for Dixie Youth Baseball. He is survived by wife Vickie Spencer Jackson of Smyrna, SC, three sons, Robert P Jackson of Smyrna, SC, Jon S. Jackson and wife Dana of Elgin, SC, Marc A Jackson and wife Leann of Rock Hill, SC, grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Lily Jackson, Lauren Jackson, Lucy Jackson, and Leila Jackson, brother, Donald Jackson of Rock Hill, SC, six sisters, Dot Moss of York, SC, Frances Dougan of Clover, SC, Sue Devon of Sharon, SC, Glenda Blancke of York, SC, Pam Erwin of Pacolet, SC, and Marie Childers of York, SC. Robert was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Tommy Jackson, Gerald Jackson, Eddie Jackson, Jeanette Hubbard, and Betty Jackson.
