Robert Carl Hornsby, 61, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be held at Assembly of God in Clover, South Carolina at 6 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 with Randy Smith officiating.
Born February 19, 1955 in Beckley, West Virginia, Robert was a son of the late Carl Hornsby and Margaret Edwards Hornsby. Robert will be remembered for his love of dirt track racing, and as a loving husband and proud family man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Calvert Hornsby, children; Mike Via and Nicole Sexton, grandchildren; Cody Via, Heather Via, Jenna Via, Clint Sexton, and Kaylynn Sexton, great grandson, James Bryson Via, two sisters; Janet Cooper and Tammy Ballard, two nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother Richard Hornsby and one niece.
