Robert "Bobby" Olin Stewart, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC, after a battle with leukemia.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home in York, SC with Pastor Barry Looper and Pastor Cliff Cochran officiating. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born June 5, 1941 in York County, SC, Bobby was a son of the late Sidney and Leola Hambright Stewart. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the US Army and Army National Guard for 21 years. The military never left Bobby, and he was a proud American soldier.
He is survived by his brothers, Sidney Stewart, Jr. (Joan) of Rock Hill, SC, Harold Stewart of Clover, Jesse Stewart of Stuart, FL, sisters, Helen Beckham and Margaret Medlin of York, and Barbara Brittain (Moe) of Gastonia, NC. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Stewart, Elton Stewart, and Ralph "Butch" Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy, 1289 Lincoln Road, York, SC 29745.
