YORK – Robert William “Bobby” Adkins, 53, of York, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at home.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Carey Caldwell, Rev. Will Cofield, and Rev. Bud Fox officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
Bobby was the son of Dorothy Harper Adkins and Robert Bundy Adkins. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and worked in the operations department at Rock Hill School District 3. Bobby was a member of Philanthropic Masonic Lodge #32. He was also known for his love of cooking, especially for cooking BBQ for anyone who needed it, whether it was fundraisers, birthdays, weddings or parties.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is survived by his wife Karen Wagoner Adkins of York, daughter Catherine Adkins of York, and brother Kenneth Adkins of Charlotte.
