Richard Vernon Ivey, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at his home in York.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Bratton Funeral Home in York with Rev. Brad Vassey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Friday at Bratton Funeral Home.
Born July 29, 1945, Richard was a son of the late James Ivey and Louise Fisher Ivey.
He is survived by his long time companion Brenda Crisp, children, Richard Ivey, Jr., Carol Ann Genaway, brothers, Edmond Ivey, Melvin Ivey, sisters, Peggy Drabenstat, Margaret Pendleton, Faye Thompson, former wife Brenda Ivey, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his children, Patricia Lee Benfield and James David Ivey, and brother Junior Ivey.
