– Richard “Dick” Dean Ledford, 86, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 in York.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at First Wesleyan Church in York with Rev. Curtis Williams and Rev. Jacob Mode officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM on Saturday at First Wesleyan Church.
Dick served in the United States Air Force during Korean War and was a parachute rigger in Rapid City, SD. He later worked in commercial printing as a folder operator and department manager, and repaired commercial printing folders until retirement.
Dick was always smiling, brought joy to all his family and those who knew him, and loved his family.
He leaves behind his sister Carole Griffin of Nashville, TN, brother Johnny Ledford (Shirley) of Stuart, FL, children; Kristy Strain (Broadus) of York, SC, Richard C. Ledford (Jessica) of Rock Hill, SC, Steve Ledford (Tracy) of Clover, SC, Tony DeHart of Baltimore, MD, 15 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
