Pinckney Roper Martin, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.
Pinckney was a daughter of the late Dr. Charles Pinckney Roper and Cora Inman Roper. She was the widow of Ralph D. Martin, Sr. Pinckney was a member of The Journey in Lake Wylie, SC. and a graduate of Winthrop College. She was a teacher in Sumter County Schools. After teaching, she became a computer programmer for Duke Power.
She is survived by her sisters, Julia Moseley Roper of Rock Hill, Jane Roper Hart of York, a number of nieces and nephews, including Samuel Hart (Angie), Brandon Martin (Jennifer), and Elizabeth Troutman (Reid). In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Ralph D. Martin, Jr.
