Obituary Notice
SHARON – Paul C. Cheek, 70, of Sharon passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018.
The funeral service will be at 3PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home.
Born in Westminster, SC, Paul was the son of the late Will Nelson Cheek and Annie Mae Turner. Paul was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and retired from Duke Energy. He served as a chief and firefighter for 35 years on the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department. Paul was also a member of the Masonic Lodge Post 289 for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Holbrooks Cheek, daughter, Beverly Cheek Blackwell (Bruce), sons, Gregory Paul Cheek (Amanda), Shawn Cheek (Donna), Kevin Cheek (Leigh Ann), sister, Louise Edwards, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Cheek, Raymond Cheek, and Robert Cheek.
