Patsy Ruth Vanhook YORK, SC – Mrs. Patsy Ruth Damon Vanhook, 71, of York, SC died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – Mercy, Charlotte, NC. A memorial service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Clover with the Rev. Tommy Wilkes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Pat spent the first part of her life in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. P.L. Damon. She graduated from East Stone Gap High School. She was active in the management of family businesses. Pat had been a dedicated member at First United Methodist Church in Clover, SC. Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. God’s love shone through her for everyone around her to see. She is survived by her husband, William Zane Vanhook, Jr.; her son William Zane Vanhook, III and his wife Michelle, grandson William Zane Vanhook, IV; son-in-law Louis Lemmon and his wife Jennie, grandchildren Kathleen and Patrick Lemmon; brother Kelly Bunch of Kings Mountain, NC; brother-in-law Robert Vanhook and his wife Susan; sister-in-law Linda Carter and her husband Conrad; and sister-in-law Ann Vanhook. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Kelly Vanhook Lemmon and granddaughter Whitley Lee Vanhook.
