Obituary
Oneida "Granny" Thomasson McCarter, was born May 29, 1919 in York County to the late Vernon and Jessie Templeton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Bill" Thomasson, second husband D.D. McCarter and her sister, Virginia Clark.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Thomasson ( Norma) of York, Grandson Bill Thomasson (Julie) of York, Granddaughter, Amy Williams ( Sam) of York; Great grandchildren Wesley Thomasson ( Brittney), Neely Thomasson, Sam Williams and Sarah Williams; Great-Great Grandson Blake Thomasson and her Sister-In-Law, Annave T. McWaters (Presbyterian Home at Clinton).
Oneida was co-owner with Bill of the Little Metro Restaurant in Clover, the Pine Knob restaurant, and Thomasson's Restaurant in York, where she was known affectionately as "Granny T." She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of York and a member of the White Rose Book Club.
A graveside service will be 11:00am Tuesday January 26, 2016, at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. The family will receive friends Monday January 25, 2016, from 5-7 pm at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
The family is deeply grateful for the care given by The Providence Care of York, especially Corrine, Tammy, Amy and Dr. Romin Shah.
