LAKE WYLIE – Olga B. Boloyan passed away at her home after a short illness on Saturday, August 8, 2015. She was born November 17, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Myron H. Boloyan in 1993, her parents, Helen and Nishan Baharozian and her brother James Baharozian. She is survived by her son, Myron B. Boloyan and his wife, Peggy, three grandchildren, Russell, Jessie and Grant, which were the joy of her life and her brother, Harry Baharozian.

Olga graduated high school in 1944 and immediately upon graduation began working for Fisher Body in Detroit. While working, she attended The University of Detroit at night studying Business Administration. Later, Fisher Body became part of General Motors and Olga moved through the corporation during her career, rising to the level of Administrative Assistant to the Vice Chairman of General Motors before retiring to Lake Wylie, SC with her husband in 1983.

Olga was active in many charitable, civic and social organizations in the River Hills/Lake Wylie area and was a founding member and former officer of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Sarkis located at 7000 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Fuller Center for Housing, P.O. Box 523, Americus, Georgia 31709. Please add “Armenia” on the memo line. The funds donated will go to their construction program for needy Armenian families. Donations may also be made to St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Olga’s memory.
