YORK -- Odell Moss, 73, of 1530 Old Pinckney Rd, passed away Saturday, May 02, 2015, at Carolina's Continued Care Hospital in Kings Mtn. NC.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday May 5, 2015, at Hickory Grove Church of God with Pastor Mike Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Church Of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Monday May 4, 2015 from 6-8 PM.
A native of York, Odell was a son of the late William Odell "Bob" Moss and Dolly McAfee Moss. He was a member of Hickory Grove Church of God and was retired from the steel industry. Odell was the best, Husband, Daddy, Paw-Paw & Pop that anyone could have. He loved all his family, friends and church family & Pastor. Odell never met a stranger, he talked to everyone. He did whatever he could for his church. Odell use to coach Little League ball and umpire, but most of all he loved the Lord.
He is survived by wife, Helen Brown Moss, 3 daughters, Julie Crawford, (Thomas), Brenda Deitz, (Stan) and Lisa Neely, (Wayne), 2 sons, Billy Moss, (Amy) and Matthew Moss, (Mandy),4 sisters, Betty Harris , Ruby Nicholes, Gladys Hutcherson, Eula Mae Childres, (Johnny) and his twin brother, William Moss, (Sue), 16 grandchildren, Brandon Ramsey, (Cassi), Christopher Ramsey, (Caaryn), Amanda Wilson, (Brett), Billy Odell Moss Jr., (Stephanie), Travis Moss, (Ariel), Jessica Moss, (Austin), Steven Neely, (Kayla), Wesley Neely, Willie Crawford, Tommy Lee Crawford, Matthew Moss, Jr., (Casey), Breonna Moss, Heather Reinhardt, (Kyle), Josh Reinhardt, Samantha Parker and Zackery Dorsett and 11 great grandchildren, Hunter Moss, Cole Moss, Brycen Wilson, Isaac Ramsey, Rylan Neely, Nathan Moss, Maci Moss, Maggie Moss, Kaydeen Crawford and 2 unborn granddaughters, Mason Skye and PaigeLynn Marie, sister-in-law Dolly Moss and brother-in-law, LeeRoy Bradley. In addition to his parents was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Summer Ruth Michelle Crawford, brother, Joe Dean Moss and sister Nellie Bradley.
