A devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Susie dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, faith, and love. Susie was born on October 11, 1954, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Linnie Mae King and Willie King, Sr. She was a member of Howard Chapel United Methodist Church from a young age, where she joyfully sang in the choir and shared her beautiful soprano voice alongside her sister, Evelyn. She dedicated more than 30 years to nursing, serving with compassion and commitment at Shamrock Nursing Home and Dublinair Nursing Home in Dublin, GA. Known for her gentle touch and caring heart, Susie retired from nursing in 2013, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and excellence in care. A woman of strength and resiliency, she devoted her life to service, faith, and family.
