On Friday, September 14, 1956, the family of Mr. James Arthur and Mrs. Willie Bell Smith was blessed with a beautiful baby girl who they named Shirley Ann. She brought love and light to her family and all that knew her.
Shirley completed her early education in the Dublin City School System as a member of the Class of 1976. She began her employment career in the retail industry and later became an employee of the Laurens County School System and Parker Aerospace. In 2017, Shirley was blessed to retire from Laurens County DFACS after 15 years of dedicated service.
Shirley's love of family was evident as she cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and siblings as well as her extended family . To those who knew her, she was a joy who shared an amazing sense of humor and her talent for cooking. Her infectious laugh and hilarious sayings could always create gales of laughter in a room.
On Thursday, November 25, 2021, God added another flower to his garden as he called Shirley Ann from her labor to enter into eternal rest.
