Remembering Micheal
A Home-Going Celebration for Mr. Michael Laine Harvell, a.k.a. “Earl” will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019
at 11:00 A. M. in the Greater Macedonia Baptist Church (North). The Overseer E. Neal Dixon will officiate.
Mr. Harvell was born April 22, 1963 in Laurens County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Charlie and Louise Harvell.
He was employed by Bassett Furniture Company for 15 years plus , until the plant closing, and he was also
employed with the City of Dublin for over five (5) years until declining health. He was affiliated with the
Second Baptist Church.
Mr. Harvell was preceded in death by four siblings, Ms. Linda Harvell, Ms. Mary Harvell, Mr. James Dupree
and Mr. Charlie Harvell, father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Allie Clements, sister-in-law, Ms. Juanita
L. Bell, brothers-in-law, Mr. Willie Lee Bell, Grady Hodges and Eugene Stuckey.
Michael was well known by many family and friends for skills in cooking, grilling and the gatherings at his
home for good times and fellowship.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 34 years, Rikita B. Harvell, two beautiful children,
Ashley Harvell and Michael Harvell (Victoria), two grandchildren, whom he adored, Malaya and Michael Harvell
all of Dublin, Ga., one niece who he raised as a daughter, U’Nikka Linder, God-daughter’s Traliyah Washington,
Jameeria Gipson, and Dareiounna Moye, one sister, Mrs. Sandra (Charles) Holliman, Dublin, Ga., one brother,
Mr. Emmitt (late Connie) Dupree, Miami, FL., sisters-in-law, Mary Clements, Atlanta, Ga., Thelma (Zebbie) Ashley,
Virgina Hodges, Shirley Bell, Janice Stuckey, Vanessa Clements all of Dublin, Ga., Regina (Robert) Pepins,
Brunswick, Ga., brothers-in-law, Melvin (Delois) Bell, Jeffery Bell, both of Dublin, Ga. Frederick (Carolyn) Clements,
Aaron Clements, both of Lumber City, Ga., Melvin (Earnestine) Clements, Atlanta, Ga. Childhood friends,
Jeffery and Alfred Washington, devoted friends, Walter Coley, Rodrigos O’neal ,Oliver Wyche, Joseph Axson,
Michael Rozier, James Chatman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Harvell will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services.
Friends are being received at the family residences, 519 and 521 Hudson Drive, Dublin, Ga.
