Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Ann Holder, former resident of 116 Flanders Street, will be held Wednesday,
June 7, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. in the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Curtis Rozier will officiate
and burial will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Sister Mattie Ann Campbell Holder was born November 18, 1929 to the parentage of the late Deacon Robert
and Dinah Campbell in Laurens County, Georgia.
She was employed as a housekeeper and cook for W. E. Lovett for many years.
Sister Holder was a faithful and dedicated member of the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she
served as a Sunday School Teacher, President of the Deaconess Ministry and Youth Choir.
Sister Holder was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Charles E. Holder, a daughter, Bernice (Marvin) Orange,
a sister-in-law, Lois Peacock, a bother-in-law, Charlie Slaymon.
On Saturday, June 03, 2017, Sister Mattie Holder was called to rest in her heavenly home.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her precious memories, three sons, Charles W. Holder, Waymon (Virginia)
Holder, and William Holder; a daughter, Brenda (Rev. Curtis) Rozier, a brother-in-law, James (Earnestine) Holder,
sister-in-law, Mozell Slaymon, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces,
nephew, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Holder will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services.
Friends are being received at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Curtis Rozier,
116 Flanders Street, Dublin, Ga.
