Remembering Marshall

Homegoing Services for Mr. Marshall Gene Brown of Montrose, Georgia will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 11:00 AM within God’s structure of Macedonia Baptist Church in Montrose GA. Pastor Freddie Mack Jr. will deliver the encomium. Mr. Brown was born to the parentage of Evelyn Brown and Lewis P. Brown. Marshall known as “Heater” amongst friends spent most of his time in Laurens County where he was educated at West Laurens High School then joining the U.S. Army Reserve, while achieving a Honorary Discharge with enough credit hours and training equivalent to an Associate’s Degree. He accepted Christ at an early age thus joining Macedonia Baptist Church. While residing in Dublin and timelining the dash, Mr. Brown loved spending time with the family, watching Jeopardy, fishing, and visualizing sports. Marshall worked for Dublin Construction for 19 years being well respected, thus assigned special projects. Marshall Brown was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis P. (Sunny) Brown Jr., Willie Lee (Ricky) Brown, Bennie Lee (Billy) Brown, Rev. Dr. James Brown; one sister Christine (Chrissy) Brown Mack. Survivors include one son Lavawaski “Bo” (Cita) Brown of Dulles, Va., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A sister, Wylene Washington of Detroit, Michigan, Mary (May Ruth) English of Mobile Alabama, Evelyn (Lawrence) Hardie of Gatesville, North Carolina, Earnestine (Tine) Stuckey of Dublin, GA, Katherine (Carl) Rozier of Montrose, GA one brother Robert (Mary) Brown of Dexter, GA. A plethora of special friends and cohorts. Friends are being received at the family residence, 2297 Harry Green Road, Montrose, Georgia 31065. Arrangements entrusted to Wyche’s Funeral Home.
