Louvonia White Hood

A Celebration of Life graveside service for Mrs. Louvonia W. Hood will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. in the Kurtz Cemetery, Kurtz Cemetery, 392 Payne Cook Road, Montrose, Ga. The Rev. Burnest Glover will officiate and the interment will follow. Mrs. Lovonia W. (Big Ma) was born on February 24, 1925 to the parentage of the late Rev. Joseph and Elizabeth Pryor White. She transitioned to her heavenly home on January 22, 2022. She joined the Byrd Hill Baptist Church at a young age, later uniting with the Laurens Hill Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until death. She was preceded in death by her parents; Rev. Joseph and Elizabeth White, her husband, Rev. Ralph Hood, a son, Willie T. (Christine) Hood , siblings, Isabelle (Johnny F.) Ashley, Josie M. White, Isaac (Salema) White, Edgar (Margaret) White and Elder Moses (Maria) White. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Frank (Beverly) Hood, Glennville, Ga., Ralph E. (Billie) Hood, Warner Robins, Ga., William (Patricia) Hood, Thomas Hood and Carolyn Hood, all of Dudley, Ga., sister- In-law, Rev. Alberta Williams, Miami, FL., seven grandchildren, Tony (Betty) Hood, Christopher Hood, Cedric Hood, Jessica (Chris) Carr, Jasmine Hood, Brianna Davis and Taylor Hood; seven great-grandchildren. Tony L. Hood, Telvin Hood, Aliyana Hood, Chrislyn Carr, Christopher Jace Carr, Serenity and William Southern, one great-great grandchild, Ryder D. Hood, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Friends are being received at the family residence. The family requests that CO-VID 19 precautions be adhered to.
