Lilard Stuckey

Funeral Services for Mr. Lilard (Buddy) Stuckey will be held, Saturday, September 03, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. in the Mt. Tillia Baptist Church, Irwinton, Ga. The Rev. Harold J. Banks will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Lilard (Buddy) Stuckey was born December 10, 1924 in Dublin (Laurens County) to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clemon and Agnes Stanley Stuckey. He departed this life Saturday, August 27, 2016. Mr. Stuckey joined the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church at an early age and attended church until health would no longer permit. He served on the Deacon Board and was a World War II veteran. Mr. Stuckey rertired from Warner Robins Air Force Base after many years of service. He had numerous jobs in the community and was known as a “ hard worker”. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Catherine Carswell Stuckey. children, Edward Stuckey, and Patricia Ann Stuckey, three brothers, Theodric, Xenocrates, and Clinton Morris, sisters, Lydia Jones, Veronia Smith, Ruby Parker, Grace Milline, and Dorothy Stuckey,. He is survived by a daughter, Lillian Jean Stuckey, Dublin, Ga., one son, Lanier (Patricia) Stuckey , Lithonia, Ga., sister, Ruth (Ernie) Walker, one brother, Ulysses (Emma) Stuckey, Cincinnati, OH, daughter-in-law, Audrey Stuckey, Aurora, CO. two grandchildren, Natasha and Sean Stuckey, Aurora, CO and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends are being received at the family residence, 112 New Street. Mr. Stuckey will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. Arrangements entrusted to Wyche’s Funeral Home.
