Joseph Bill Mitchell, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Bill Mitchell will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the Greater New Evergreen Baptist Church, 1599 US-80, Dublin GA 31027 at 3:00 O’clock P. M. The Rev. Billy D. Wicker will officiate and interment will follow at Royal Springs Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell was born December 2, 1936 to the late Deacon Henry Mitchell and Carrie Spivey He was educated in the Lauren County School System. Mr. Mitchell was the owner and operator of Mitchell Logging Company. He departed this life on November 28, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Roberta Williams Mitchell, his daughter, Lizzie Mitchell, his son Roy Lee Mitchell, and a sister, Viola Coney. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories, six children, Joe Lee Mitchell, Jacksonville, FL, Joseph Bill Jr. (Charlene)Mitchell, Lawton, OK, Willie Lee Mitchell, Soperton, GA., Larry (Deborah) Mitchell, Hartwell, GA, Cynthia (Lester) Dunn, Trussville, AL, and Marsha Carr, Birmingham, AL. Mr. Mitchell will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. Friends are being received at the family residence 310 Broad St. E. Dublin GA.
