James Renfroe Sr

Funeral services for Mr. James Renfroe, Sr., will be held Saturday, April 08, 2017 at 1:00 P. M. in the Driskell Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. The Major Otis Coles, III, Chaplain, U. S. Army, will officiate and burial will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. James Renfroe, was a local business owner and resided in Dublin, GA for approximately 85 years. James was born in Laurens County GA on December 25, 1928 to Carey Renfroe and Minnie Adams. He departed this life March 31, 2017 at the age of 88. Mr. Renfroe worked at Southern Sales Warehouse for many years. On August 16, 1946, he married Eva Will Johnson. On August 26, 1948, they welcomed their first child, whom he loved dearly. James was a devoted father, businessman, deacon and treasurer at Driskell Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. James was preceded in death by his parents Carey and Minnie Lee Adam Renfroe, wife Eva Will Renfroe, daughters Myra Renfroe and Elizabeth Renfroe Coles, and sisters Wilhemenia Hester and Rebecca Mercer. Left to cherish his memories are his children James Renfroe, Jr. (Brenda), Constatina Shelton (Joel, Jr.), Eunice Holmes (W. C.) and Carey Renfroe (Caroline); Son in-law Otis Coles, Jr.; grandchildren Antoinette (Alton), Audrey (Derek), Otis, III (Shevon), Marcus Howell, Sonya Renfroe, James Renfroe, III (Yakitta), Bianca Renfroe, Joel Shelton, III, Aaron Shelton (Sharon), Robert Prather, Jr., Bernice Batten (Norman), LaShaun Renfroe (Nina), Christopher Renfroe (Nyoka), Jeremy Renfroe and 24 great grand children, sisters, Lizzie Mae Reid and Luvonia Guyton, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
