Remembering Eclemus

A Celebration of Life grave-side service for Mr. Eclemus “Cooter” Brown will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at 11:00 A. M. in the St. Paul Cemetery, Kite, Georgia. The Rev. Brian Ashley will officiate and the interment will follow. Mr. Eclemus “Cooter” Brown was the son of the late Beatrice Williams, Reverend T.W. Pooler, Clifford Brown Sr., and Pinkie Brown. Mr. Brown was born February 3, 1949 in rural Dublin, Georgia. He departed this life on February 24, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson Rico Rogers. Mr. Eclemus Brown graduated from B.D. Perry High School in 1968. He was a dedicated employee of Evans Cabinet Company for over 30 years, until retirement. At an early age Mr. Brown joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Georgia. In his adulthood Mr. Brown attended Claxton Grove Baptist Church in Kite, Georgia. And later Mr. Brown joined Community Missionary Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of fifty-two years, Bessie Brown of Dublin, Georgia. Two children, Sonja Brown and Dewayne Rogers both of Dublin, Georgia. Two grandchildren, Ra’Sheema Brown and Rakendrick Rogers both of Dublin, Georgia. One great-grandchild, Ryleigh Brown. One sister, Faye Boston of Dublin, Georgia. One brother, Thomas “Ted” (Cora) Pooler of Rentz, Georgia. Brothers-in-law, A.B. (Jeanie) Salter of Dublin, Georgia, Emmett (Helen) Salter and Michael (Johnnie) Salter of Kite, Georgia. Sisters-in-law, Cornealus (James) Butts of Rentz, Georgia and Pastor Lessie (Henry) Williams of Swainsboro, Georgia; also, a host of other relatives and friends. The family request that the practicing of social distance guidelines due to COVID-19, and the wearing of masks are required. Arrangements entrusted to Wyche’s Funeral Home, Dublin, Ga.
