Corine L Walker

Home-Going Services for Mrs. Corine L. Walker will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 11:00 A. M. at the Jordan Stream Baptist Church, Toomsboro, Ga. The Rev. Arthur L. Gordon will officiate and interment will follow Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, Ga. 31062 On February 13, 1937, the late Corine Walker was born the proud parents of Crawford Lloyd and Lila Whitaker in Dublin, GA. As a young lady she attended Washington Street School, though through the years she was affiliated with Oconee High School. On December 13, 1956, she married Bennie Walker who was a Sergeant in the United States Army where she traveled to countries overseas such as Germany, and England. Following her travels abroad and within the United States she moved to Naples, Florida where at that time her mother Lila Whitaker resided. After the late Corine Walker moved to Naples, Florida she began working for Collier County School Systems. Additionally, throughout the years she also held supplementary employment in conjunction with her position in Collier County. Upon retiring from Collier County School Systems, she moved back to Dublin, GA. Subsequent to moving back to Dublin, GA the late Bennie and Corine Walker, became members of Jordan Stream Baptist Church in Toomsboro, GA. While at Jordan Stream Baptist Church the late Corine Walker also became a dedicated member of the missionary department. In time to morn, she is survived by Patricia Lloyd (Daughter), Roderick Sealy (Grandson), Anthony Sealy (Grandson), Brittany Sealy (Granddaughter), 4 Great-grandchildren (Donovan, Olivia, Devon, and Keyonna Sealy). She also leaves to cherish her sisters Doreatha (Roger) Johnson, Johnnie Bell (the late Benny) Ross, her brothers Douglas (Ada) Whitaker, Grady Whitaker; her 3 godchildren, Marcus Braddy, Willie and Shirley Hall in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. Friends are being received at the family’s resident, 848 Woodvale Drive, Dublin, Ga. Practicing social distance guidelines due to COVID-19, masks are required.
