Cora Mae Wright

A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Cora Mae Curry Wright will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 12:00 Noon.in the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road, East Dublin, Georgia 31027. The pastor David G. Flowers will officiate and the interment will follow in the church cemetery. Cora Mae Curry Wright was born in Harrison, Georgia on August 12, 1930 to the parentage of the late Eula Mae Bell and Alphonsa Curry. She was raised by her grandparents the late Mattie Mae Bell and the late Joseph Bell who she lovingly called Mama and Daddy. On August 13, 2024, Cora Mae entered into eternal rest at home surrounded by family. At an early age, she joined Marshall Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia. She later joined Buckeye Baptist Church where she was a member for over 70 years. She was a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Senior Choir, Missionary Ministry, Helping Hands Club, and Mothers Board. She faithfully attended Sunday School, Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, and other activities of the church. Cora Mae Wright was preceded in death by her husband Deacon Hardred Wright, Sr., her son, Hardred Wright, Jr., granddaughter, Lakesha Yvonne Coneway, daughter-in-law, Shirley Mae Wright, brother Alphonsa Curry, sister Amy Lou Curry, aunts Mable Dixon and Emma Lou Brady, uncles Oliver Bell and Smith Bell. Her life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by her two daughters Evangelist Gloria Plummer and Lavonia Coneway; grandchildren, Anthony Wright, Rhoda Wright, and Precious Coneway; great-grandchildren Tiandra Folsom, Jaisha Wright, Zh’Mayah Wicker, Calvin Wicker, Takylah Folsom, Chrisian Wicker, and Trinley Ray; great- great grandchild Kyomi Watts; brother Larry Bell; god-children Cindreka (Daniel) Marshall and Delmario Marshall, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
