Remembering Albert

Home-Going Memorial Graveside Services for Mr. Albert Lee Thompkins, former resident of 215 Coleman Avenue, East Dublin, Georgia will be held Saturday, JUNE 27, 2020 at 2:00 P. M. In the Dudley’s Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Jarvis Barrlon will officiate and interment will follow. Mr. Albert Lee Thompkins was born April 12, 1953 in Dublin, Georgia to Mrs. Hattie Mae Mitchell Thompkins and the late Rev. Layron Thompkins. Mr. Thompkins was a member of the Mt. Sinai Church of God. He was educated in the Laurens County School System. He previously worked for the Graham Brothers Construction Company as a truck driver. His passion was driving trucks, old cars and trucks. Many would seek his opinion and advice about their cars. He enjoyed life and never met a stranger He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, Deacon Henry Mitchell and Carrie Spivey Mitchell, a brother, Clarence Henry Thompkins, two aunts, Viola Mitchell Coney and Roberta W. Mitchell, and an uncle, Joseph Bill Mitchell, father-in-law, Lennie Charles Morton, Sr., mother-in-law, Pearlie Mae Moton. Mr. Thompkins entered eternal rest on June 23, 2020, and leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Vanessa Thompkins, his mother, Hattie Mae Thompkins, his son, Kareem Williams, His brothers Rayfield Thompkins, Sr. of Dublin, GA; his sisters: Mary Thompkins, Margaret T. Wheeler and Janet Stephens of Dublin, GA, a god daughter, Shannon Spikes, He also leaves to cherish his memories one uncle, Willie B. Mitchell of Dublin, GA; four aunts, Cora Sims and Carrie Wiggins of Dublin, GA, Mary Lou Mitchell and Bethenia Mitchell of Riviera Beach, FL. Sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Moton, Earnestine Moton, Pearl (Leonard) Singleton, Della Moton, Marie Moton and Rev. Sandra Barrion, Brother-in-law, William Henry Moton.
